A new league has formed in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey area. The League is named the Colonial States College Hockey Conference (CSCHC) or “The Colonial” for short. Teams that will be members of the league’s inaugural season will be Millersville University, New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Princeton University, The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), Seton Hall University, University of Pennsylvania (U Penn) and West Chester University. If you are an ACHA team planning to travel in/around/through CT/NY/NJ this weekend. Please expect gasoline to be scarce, long lines at the pumps and possible restrictions on quantities permitted to be purchase. Please plan any and all travel arrangements accordingly. Thank You

ACHA Division 2 saw 32 of the top teams battle it out this past weekend for the final eight bids to the ACHA Division 2 National Tournament. While some teams held serve as top seeds, upsets were prominent and lower seed earned their trip to Ft Myers, FL. The final field for the ACHA Division 2 National Championships hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University is as follows:

The ACHA released the final regular season rankings of the 2011-12 season in Division II on Monday, revealing half of the field for the ACHA Division II National Championship next month in Estero, FL. The top two teams from each region receive an automatic berth to the tournament while teams ranked 3 through 10 will battle it out in Regional Tournaments February 25 & 26 to determine the final 8 teams who will qualify for the tournament.

The College of the Canyons Cougars (defending Division 3 champions) secured a fourth straight Adams Cup to win the Pacific Collegiate Hockey Association (PCHA) tournament championship. The PCHA began in 1972 and no team has ever won the cup four times in a row.
