Davenport University won their second straight Division 2 Championship in Grand Rapids, MI on Saturday, defeating Florida Gulf Coast University in the title game, 5-1. Senior goalie Chris Joswiak was named tournament MVP.

Lindenwood University won their first Men's Division 1 Championship Wednesday in Cleveland, Ohio, three days after their women's team won their third Division 1 title in Rochester NY. Adam Krefski was named men's tournament MVP, and Lisa Moreau was awarded the women's tournament MVP.

Illini Hockey alum, Colonel Lee Archambault (1978-83), will be the commander of the upcoming mission of Space Shuttle Discovery.

Saginaw Valley State won the D3 National Championship Saturday in Rochester, NY, beating Florida Gulf Coast in the final 3-2. Junior forward Jonathan Tibaudo was named tournament MVP.

The ACHA Division 1 Select Team won the 7th place game Thursday at the Winter World University Games in Harbin, China, defeating the host Chinese 10-2.
